Makeup/Hair Trial Issue

I am currently living in Indianapolis and will only be returning to LI once before the wedding in August for shower, etc. How do I pick makeup artist and hair stylist. If I wait till August then no one will be available.
This is my idea: Have my mom and MOH look around and get a few trials - have them pick who they like best and then have a trial myself in august when I come home to visit. Is there an easier way?

i know i am in the same boat. I picked my makeup artist b/c I saw tons of her before and after and talked with a few brides who used her.

My goodness, thanks for asking the question I am in the same boat but in San Diego. I will be moving back in July so I guess I have a little more lee way than you but you're right they probably will be booked for our time frame
