Ummm so making my own centerpeices... I must have been drunk when I even made that post. Fake flowers at my one and only wedding?? I think not!
But I can make my own invites. I know they sell kits and im super excited to check this out!! Anybody doing this?

lol you are too funny lol lol lol i want to make my own invitations but i am scared i am not very creative when it comes to crafts... but i came out with an idea of getting together for like a DIY session so we could help each other in making our stuff like Vanessa (GOLDIE) is like a master in DIY and she's making her invites i believe it would be good if we all get together to help each other to do the DIY in my opinion...

Making your own invites for me is way to complicated looking. I am just going to order them I think from Tessa - everyone uses her on here.

Gloria! I'm flattered, BUT by no means am I master at this stuff!! you're going to jinx me and then my invites are gonna come out horrible!!! lol. diy is definitely do-able it just takes a lot of patience. it's almost like completing a puzzle or a complicated math problem.

i think thats what what im going to do Rita... i cant make my own lol... i'll prob do them n then rip them up n order them instead like i did with my e party invites lol.. and they were simple.

Tessa has so many different invites on her website and so many girls use her on here.
She will also stay in your budget by using less expensive things if need be.

those were my very basic rough draft and not the design I will be using. I FM'ed you about where I got the supplies from. If you send me your email, I'll email you my more recent sample. I did this for Christine (stineandandy) for my card box because I'm not ready to put the real stuff in my album yet.

I made my own invites. Well i didnt want to at first bc although i know how just didnt want to add to much to my plate. I ordered invites and they were supposed to arrive middle of march, never came so i contacted the vendor and she told me 'oh no you'll get them April 19 , my wedding was may 17 and april 19 was around my rsvp date so she was smoking crack or something. So i had one week to quickly make my own invites, I just duplicated what i had ordered from her.
Honestly its not hard at all, you dont have to buy a kit. Mine was a 3 layer invite, so i bought the 3 cardstocks in the colors i needed, i asked the store to cut each color in the size i needed. You print the invite with the verse on it. The rest just used permanent double sided tape to mount one on top of the other, ALL invite companies use the double sided tape, i ordered samples and ripped them apart to see and they all did it. The rest for inserts, again you buy the cardstock and you can ask the store to cut it the size you need. I also had bought ribbon and rhinestone buckles, and that part is easy too.

we're definitely making our own invites since we are unable to find anything that gives us what we are looking for. actually hitting up paper presentation in the city next weekend among other paper places. really looking forward to it!
