My fiance and I are thinking about making our own centerpieces with 3 different size glass vases filled with either flowers submerged in water with a tea light on top or clear beads with LED lighting inside the vase lighting up the beads. Has anyone ever tried this before? I want to do something other than flowers! This seems to be cheaper than going to a florist. I appreciate any and all help!!!
Thank you!!!

It's easy, could be time consuming though if you're doing it alone (and esp if you obsess over every detail like me!)

Re: Making our own centerpieces
My friend did this for her wedding. It came out great!! just took time though. She had rocks inside large clear vases and a flower inside with a candle on top. It looked really good. and she was able to save money on it too! you will just need to worry about how to get the centerpieces there and set up....

Thank you . We decided to go with fake ostrich feathers inside a frosted Effel Tower Vase with LED lights. It looks so pretty and elegant. I know it's time consuming. We're trying to figure out how much time it will take to make them and how we would get them there. But it's definitely possible! I am so excited!!

Just remember, the last thing you want to be consumed with on your wedding day is setting up before cocktail hour! So see how much it would be perhaps if a florist did your set up if you provided them with materials. You may want to check with B*A*rr^o#n@s.

Re: Making our own centerpieces
It's time consuming but not difficult at all. Get your bridesmaids to help you put them together and make a night of it with champagne and some little snacks. It can be a fun activity to do together and it will get done a lot faster if you have help.

I am thinking of doing this with feathers... My only concern is how to get them set up at the hall??
Do you know what you will do as far as getting them there and having them set-up for the day-of?? I am trying to figure out this issue
