making some headway...florist and tux
Finally settled on a Florist. We met with Flowers by Brian, Pedestals and Flower Michele. It was amazing to me that the pricing difference was so great despite showing each of them the same exact pictures of what I was looking for. We ended up going with Flower Michele - John was wonderful. Flowers by Brian was more than $1500 more for the exact same setup, and Pedestals wasnt much better. Flower Michele was the only place that really tried to work with us within our budget.
Then we went to look at tuxedos last weekend. I have read so many good things about Tuxedo Park that we decided to go there. They are charging $205 for groomsmen tuxedos where we called several other places who had the same brand/model for $150 which includes tax! I'm not sure I exactly agree that the service was great, rather it was just a hard sell, and as we are planning our L.I. wedding long distance and running out of time, we had no alternative than to just agree to rent from Tuxedo Park. After we got home we realized that they overcharged us! I'm so frustrated with them that I really wish we had gone somewhere else.
We paid for FH's tux and since they are charging a ridiculous amount for groomsmen, we really had no choice but to pay for part of the groomsmen tuxes for them to make it more reasonable.
Has anyone else had this kind of experience with tux place and what should I do?
