I'd like to make table runners for the reception. Has anyone else done this? Any particular type of fabric that's easier to work with? Any other suggestions on how to make this easier? Also, about how long did it take you to make them (I need to make around 12)? Thanks so much!!

I made about 10 for my friends shower using a pink faux silk material and stitch witchery. Its a very easy task but extremely time consuming. I had no idea that each one would take me well over an hour - and I work pretty quickly. Thats because each one has to be cut, ironed and seamed on each side.
Before comitting, you might want to make one and see how you feel about them.
That said, I think they add a lot to unifying the look of a room.
