I'm thinking about doing this for a parent album. Is anyone else doing this? How would I go about doing this? Thanks!

Do you want to do a regular album or scrapbook?

Re: Making your own album
I think a regular album, something they can put on their coffee table. I'm not super computer savy, are there any good websites for this that are reasonably priced?
If you have a mac, you can make your albums directly through iphoto. They use Kodak for the albums.
Shutterfly also has nice albums.

On the www.blurb.com website, a 20-40 page hardcover book is listed as $22.95. What does that include? Are the prints of all the photographs on those pages additional money?

I love shutterfly. I made parent albums of all of our engagement pics for our RD presents. It's really easy to use. You can design the layouts yourself or use their layout tool. The books come out great!

walgreens.com mpix.com
I used mpix to print my epics and they came out great. I'm doing the same thing for parents albums. I wasn't about to spend 3k on photography. Mpix is a pretty easy site to maneuver

I am planning on making our album and the parents albums on Shutterfly. Much cheaper than getting it through the photog and I like the way their albums come out.

Re: Making your own album
Thanks so much! That is a great idea to make them on Shutterfly. Our photographer wants $685 for a 30 picture album of 5x8 with a leather cover & on shutterfly its only $50. I'm definitely doing that once they release the disk of photos to us!!!!!!!
