Is there anyone making their own invitations? I am planning on it. I think I have a basic look, but I am having trouble finding the paper and envelopes for them. I want the hand made paper, and I am not sure what size envelopes to get. I went to PickQuick Papers in Farmingdale, they don't have the paper that I want and their envelope selection ****s. Does anyone else have any suggestions. Thanks. Pics of what you girls have made would be great also. Thanks.
Also if you bought your invites, where did you get them from?
Thanks You!

those are easy.. looks like you'd have to buy sheets of homemade paper, vellum, and ribbon, then envelopes to match.. =)

They do look easy, and I know I am more than capable of doing it. But where did you get your envelopes for your invites?
Marcella, I did a search, and I can't find the pic of your invites

Re: Making Your Own Invitations
well my invites were nothing likethe ones you picked... Mine were tea length and it was a bit more of a challenge too b/c I needed a certain type of ivory..
If you need white ones like shown, you can get them at ANY office suplly store or where you're getting your other supplies..

Re: Making Your Own Invitations
I got mine at Staples. They are the hand-made paper with flower petals in it. They come in a box with the paper, vellum, ribbons, envelopes, response cards with envelopes. They came out so good. Everyone keeps asking us if we got ours professionally made, which we didn't. The box of 50 cards was $40.

Callesta Creations is a company that send you the inivitations and all you need: envelopes, ribbons, vellum, attachments, and you print and assemble them yourself. Cuts down on price. www.CallestaCreations.com

Re: Making Your Own Invitations
Amy, we might have the same ones. I went to Staples and we both liked the Handmade paper 'Natural Ivory' invite kit....
For 100 invitations and response cards, with envelopes and matching paper for direction cards and programs the total was.... $93.00....
They are really very pretty, with fall color leaves. I think they will be perfect for our Nov wedding...
Thanks for the tip on Staples. I'll get FH to make a photo and put it on the computer, I'm not sure how to download from the digital camera
Now for the wording....

Re: Making Your Own Invitations
Marcia, those must be the same ones! They are ivory with green leaves and some orange and yellow petals. They came with gold ribbons. We printed ours up already and they came out beautiful!!! They look so professional. I'll take a pic with the digital camera soon and have FI put it up.
