Male 'Made' of Honor....?

So i have decided to make my brother my 'made' of honor. My brother is my best friend and we have gone though alot together, especially with my parents divorce when we were both in HS.

I also have 3 very close Girlfriends and i just wouldnt ever want to pick between them.

Is anyone else having a male maid of honor? Do you think this is a strange thing to do?

At first he was not pleased, my mother told him his main job would have to be picking out the male strippers for my bachelorette party lol!

But he seems excited about the whole thing now and i am very glad he has agreed to stand next to me throughout the ceremony.

i think its great...plus like you said you have 3 girlfriends so you dont want the drama.hey its your wedding do whatever you want =)

I definetly do not want drama. especially from any of my girlfriends. I'm sure i have plenty of family members to take care of the drama factor for me!!

my brother is my man of honor too
i only have 3 close girlfriends, so i am going to ask them to be my 'vip' guests and get then a small bouquet just to honor them. they wont be in the bridal party, we are going to have all guys.
my brother, my cousin, and a guy friend of mine. and on fh's side he'll have his brother, his cousin, and his best friend. check out the picks in my album from my eparty

I think it's a great idea and it's becoming more and more popular. Just don't give him things to do that he would hate or find weird. Split up those responsibilities amongst your BMs.

You can do whatever you want! My sisters DH had a women as his best man(best gal ) and it was fine.

I think it's a fabulous idea! You know he will always be there for you and won't have to choose between friends so to speak. None of your girlfriends will be disappointed or upset(at least they shouldn't be) because if you don't have family, who the h*ll can you count on?!

I've been the MOH to about five girls, so I couldn't decide between them without hurting feelings. My 'Man of Honor' is my best gay friend, Jared. My brother was a little irritated, but I told him Jared is better at planning showers. I love the idea.
