mama drama

sooooo i bought the diy invite kit from michael's that ive been looking for and couldn't wait to show my mom when she came back from florida and

SHE HATES THEM

i mean really hates them...she said they look like a sweet 16 invite.

i'm so sad. everyone i showed said they loved them and my mom said they were just being nice.

now i don't know if i should return them or not. of course i already opened one box...

:(

don't listen to your mom .... mine HATED mine as well, until i printed them out and showed them to her and now she likes them a lot.

i'm sure yours will have a change of heart as well

but if you're still worried, maybe you could just use those invitations for your e-party or something?

What! I don't think any of theirs look like sweet 16 invites! i got mine from there too. I say just go with it! You like them and thats all that matters!

Do you and your mom have the same taste? My mom and I don't. In the end I usually end up just making decisions based on my and FH's opinions. You will NEVER make everyone happy.

That stinks. But it's your wedding, not her's. I know you value her opinion - obv, since she's your mom - but if you cave on this, you might be pushed to cave on other things too.

You obviously love them. I bought our invites there too (and recently) so I'm familiar with all of their invites...none of them look 'Sweet 16'-ish to me.

Maybe they're the same as mine!

Chin up. You can't please everybody.

Re: mama drama

thanks, ladies. i did love them, soooo much, but my mom just has this way of making me feel WRONG...ugh....

FYI, they are the light blue and ivory pocket ones...i looked all over for them, b/c those are my colors.

i'm ok with going against her. i'm just sitting with it for a while to figure it out

thanks again :)
