For those of you who have seen the remake - please clarify for me - at the end of the movie, when Denzel is walking through the metal detector, they erase his face and put on the face of a Hungarian national (???). I assume they were framing this person but it seemed pretty random thrown in at the end of the movie. Any thoughts???
I haven't seen it but I wanted to say my sister in law played one of the on-set extras (I think she mentioned she was in the scene where people were protesting or something...).
They didn't want Marco to go to jail for the shooting - perhaps due to has respectful history or the brainwashing - so they made it look like it was someone else and so people would think Marco was dead and he could live free somewhere else.
