Manhattan Brides: Where did you have your reception, and how did you pick it?
Also, if you already had your wedding, how did it turn out? Did it meet your expectations?

Im the old lady on the site but I got married at the Yale Club. I found it using a location search service (IGMC). Loved my wedding..it wasnt perfect but it was wonderful :)
There are so many great places in Manhattan..its hard to choose.

I'm getting married at the Parker Meridien Hotel in Manhattan. I looked at a million places both on LI and in the city.. finally choose the hotel b/c of the look of the hotel, the great ballroom and view of central park, the food, and the catering manager. I found the hotel through paint the town red, who also referred me to a bunch of other places in the city. Let me know if you have any questions!

My best friend is getting married at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. It's an Abigail Kirsch venue....and I believe she has other venues in the NYC area.
