Has anyone thought about this tiny little detail? I've read several articles that say you should wear a subdued french manicure, or some other pale color on your nails. However, my wedding is in October and I never wear those colors in the fall months.

Re: Manicure
i will be doing some sort of light color- i usually like to stay lighter anyway so it isnt much of a change for me...
i think it is classic and beautiful, BUT if you dont like it than i dont think there is anything that says you HAVE to have it that way!

Re: Manicure
I always get a french manicure regardless of the time of year, it's just classic and you can't go wrong with it.

Re: Manicure
I think that you should just review some of the pics that you want to take with your photographer and see if you think that the manicure will be distrtracting....other then that I say go for what you want. You should be comfortable and if a small detail like that will make you fell more at ease then go darker. I don't think I have ever noticed what a bride was wearing on her nails.

I just saw a picture of someone who got married at Saint Pat's in NYC, the lady had red nailpolish on and I thought it really stood out (not in a good way).

Re: Manicure
I had a french mani and pedi...you don't want either feature to 'jump out' since it comes out in pictures a lot. I love how my hands just 'blend' in...

Re: Manicure
I'm with the rest of the girls - I always get 'frenchie' on my hands and feet, b/c I feel it is classic. Someone made a good suggestion about even talking to your photographer. The bottom line is that if you don't like it, than don;t wear it!

Re: Manicure
I will more than likely get a very light pink color. I never have luck with French. I always mess it up or it chips. Too many people will be looking at my hands that day and I don't want to have to think about it. French takes too long to dry properly and I will have no patience the day of (or the day before) my wedding to sit and wait.

Re: Manicure
My nails are too short for a french (and I am NOT getting fake nails again). So I decided to go with a pale pink on my wedding day

Ditto. My nails are wrapped and I have a permanent french. It keep my nails very short even though they're wrapped, and usually get Marshmellow or Waltz!
