I'll be doing French on both hands and feet. I'm wearing sandlas, so the French should look nice too.

Im going to try to find someone to do an American manicure - which is like french but more natural colors.

Re: Maniucures
I found it amusing that my mom and aunt chimed in with what they thought were proper colors (french, pale, nuetral colors)
I just didn't understand the idea that your nails should be light when you're a bride. When I wear nail polish (which isn't that often), I usually wear dark colors. Though I like the french, I wanted something that was more me.
I rocked the boat and went with some color. I picked a berry color that matched my lipstick. It was on my hands and feet (open toes).

lisat: I'm glad to hear that you went with color. I have dark skin, and I usually wear natural colors because it looks like it lasts longer since you can't tell as much when the polish chips. But for my wedding day, since my dress if very simple, i don't have a bridal party (and therefore no 'color') and I am holding fuscia calla lillies I am considering doing both my toes (open shoes) and fingernails a dark pink. I asked my photographer if this will be okay in pics, and he said yes. I think I'm going to get a 'trial' manicure in this color this weekend and take a pic.

Re: Maniucures
I think color might be a good idea, Im really pale and I just got a french done to see how it looks, and even though its pretty, I think I need some contrast.

Re: Maniucures When?
I am doing mine the night before. The day of will be too much for me to handle, with makeup, hair & getting dressed, thats enough stress & nerves to kill ya. lol
