I would like to have a small wedding with less than 50 people (more of a formal dinner party type of thing that a 5-hour affair with dancing). I'd like a mansion that rents out individual rooms for parties. Something very elegant and classy, but very intimate. Anyone have any recommendations?

If you are in Off season I bet you could do a nice house in the Hamptons.

what about the bartlett inn in greenport or the southampton inn?? both great for intimate weddings and they are beautiful
