March Brides - help!
For those of you who are getting married in March, what do you still have left to do? I'm a little nervous about being behind of schedule. The holidays have shifted my focus from the wedding and I don't want to be freaking out once they're over. It's only 3 months away!!! I'm really bad at details so I'm hoping you girls can help me to not forget stuff....Thanks!

Re: March Brides - help!
Just looked in my Brides magazine, here's what they have listed for 4 months before:Book Honeymoon
Finalize Guest List
Make Appt. for first Dress fitting
Order wedding rings
Schedule Rehearsal and RD
Visit formalwear shop for tuxes
Book hotel room for wedding night
And Two Months before:
Visit officiant to go over vows, ceremony, etc.
Shop for lingerie & honeymoon clothes
Mail invitations
Choose gifts for attendants
Get name-change forms
Anything that's not mentioned here should already be done:
DJ
Florist
Photo
Video
Invites
Favors
Limos
I hope I helped!
PS - I am not a March Bride, just thought I could help!

Re: March Brides - help!
My wedding date is March 30.I have my trial booked for early Jan. I have to order the rings (not a problem, family friend is jeweler)
I have to meet with officiant.
Have to send out invites.
have to order favors.
have to meet with florist and dj to go over details.
have to go to bakery, pick out a cake.
tuxes need to be picked out and ordered.
flower girl dress needs to be picked out.
No limos so don't have to worry about that.
have todecide where and book honeymoon!
have to lose weight so i can fit into my dress.
have to find someone who can alter my dress.
this is what is killing me, seeing this list, which i know is missing stuff!

Re: March Brides - help!
Have you booked your florist and dj?? If so I'd hold off meeting with them. Wait until January. If you are NOT concerned about rings and limos, don't even mention them! That's two things on your list you don't even have to worry about!
I'd definately make, honeymoon and favors the #1 right now. AND finding someone to alter your gown. But if you're looking to lose some weight, find the person your going to use and schedule an appointment right away for sometime in Jan. This way you have the date SET already.
Go to Estelles or David's Bridal for flower girl dress. That is an easy thing to do. Ask the mother of your FG to help you with this. She might enjoy that! My MOH is my FG's mother and she wanted to help with that!
I hope I helped, just trying to space things out for you. I know you must feel overwhelmed. Don't worry it'll all work out! Good luck!

Re: March Brides - help!
I am getting married March 29, 2003This is what I have left to do:
Get a calligrapher
Send out invitations #1 Priority right now
Get gifts for bridal party
Get tuxedos
Give song list to band
Meet with photographer about where to take pictures after the church
Buy wedding bands
Meet with priest and go over ceremony/mass
Wrap favors, print programs up, get bubbles and rice toss ready
Buy clothes for honeymoon
Edited to say: As I'm reading the other posts I still need to do:
A hair trial
Buy gift for FH and parents
Plan rehearsal dinner
Does it ever end
That's all I can think of now. I can't even think about Christmas shopping at this time. Bewteen the wedding planning and renovating our apartment I haven't had time.
I haven't even sent out my X-mas cards yet. I feel terrible. Oh well I'll make it up next year when I have time to enjoy the holidays.
To all March brides - Good luck planning. We are almost there!!!!!

Re: March Brides - help!
It sounds like everyone is right on track with their planning. I think we are all at the point where it seems like we have been planning forever and there is still so much to do (especially with the upcoming holidays).starhead...the only thing that I would add to the checklist is registering.
Good luck to everyone!

Re: March Brides - help!
I'm March 1, 2003. The planning has been so much fun and I've loved every moment (well maybe not EVERY but almost) of it but I'm out of steam compared to a couple months ago. I just want the day to be here. Oh well, patience has always been a challenging area for me.Invitations just went out. Gifts for our bridal have been purchases. We also have our favors, table cameras and scaenger lists done. However, no veil, no shoes, and no a whole lot of other odds and ends things that need to be purchased and finalized.

We are taking a cruise on Royal Caribbean to the Western Caribbean. I can't wait to lay out on the beaches and relax with my hubby while sipping a Pina Colada

I am a big Disney freak and wanted to go back to WDW but this seemed more convienent since we had to stop in LA anyway. and i never been to Disneyland or Cali before.Cant wait I am so excited!!
going to do a helicoptor tour in Hawaii
and lots more fun stuff
and lots of relaxing, we will all deserve this after all this Planning.
enjoy all

Re: March Brides - help!
Hi ladies,Like Charliesgirl, we are doing a RC Cruise as well. The Western Carib. crusie is 7 days and make stops at Labadee-Haiti, Ochos Rios- Jamaica, Georgetown- Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico. This will be our first cruise. Hope it's a good one.
In the event that it is terribly cold, what are ladies doing for pictures? Just wondering.

Re: March Brides - help!
Akatyme-08You have to give me the deatils about your cruise when you get back. Its our firts cruise. I have only heard great things about this cruise.
I am going to actually go and sit down with my photographer after the holidays and talk to him about where to take pictures after the churh.
I know that I wantto take the fammily formals at Milleridge before the guest arrive for the cockatail party. So far there isn't an afternoon wedding right before ours so we might be able to get to milleridge earlier than 6:00.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
IMy FH and I went to Westbury Garden in Oct and they pretty much told us that what it looked like then it will look like that in March so that idea is out.
I heard about EAB Plaza but I haven't checked it out yet.
