March Brides - Updates

Hey Girls
Hope is going well,
We finally got our invites out, Now I am now just awaiting for the RSVPs to start coming in.

I ordered my shoes online on Saturday
Michael is going to order wedding Bands next week.
we picked out the tuxes.

I need to just order our Partybus, I just need to get my Lazy butt up and going to check them out before I book, I think I may go on Tuesday.

Also need to set up hair and makeup trial, I think I will do in Feb, have a Fundrasing dance to go to so may do before that, so I can be all primmed up already.

also been searching online for bridal party gifts, its tough, espeically for the guys gifts.

Just wanted to see how you all are doing

Hey Kimberly (and the other March Brides),

Here's my update:

Invitations are going out on Saturday. I have 95 done so far and need to finish the last 30 over the next two days.

FH and I went and picked out the tuxedos last night. Now all we need to do is make sure that all of the guys get to the place and get measured.

I have a makeup trial on Sunday with Jennifer from FairyTale makeovers.

Still have a bunch to do including limos, planning the details of the ceremony, hair trial, rehearsal dinner, etc.

Plus, I think one of my showers (I am having one in NY and one in CT) is Saturday.

Hope all of your planning is going well and not too stressful.

I have my Hair trial on the 18th with Vanessa. My bridal shower is on the 19th...

Still need to find my shoes, veil and finish paying for this day.

Hello March Brides:

My invites went out yesterday!!!
We ordered our rings.
Picked out tuxes (all but one GM has already been fitted).
Bridesmaid dresses have arrived and the ladies are working on getting their alterations.
Ordered veil and headpiece from C&H. It will be ready at the end of the month.
Planning the rehearsal dinner.
Looking for jewelry for BM.
Already have BM gifts.
Need gifts for Junior BM and Junior GM.

I still need shoes and earrings.
Also, my dress has not arrived yet!

Glad to see everything is coming along nicely, at least we hope!!!

Marchbride/Jennifer - what happened with your dress from Bridal suite of bayshore, that was you right? if i remember correctly.

My dress salon was closed for the holiday, so If I dont hear from them by Monday I will call to see whats going on.

Also need to pick spot for Rehersal dinner,
set up time and date with church already.

Anybody going to the GTG here?


My shower was in Dec, so dont need to be all nervous about that anymore, They had it early first bc my sister mom and cousin all live out of town and 2 bc I was supposed to know about it and it would have been this Saturday I think, but they wanted to Pull one over on me, they are so sneaky.

Glad to hear everyone is moving right along with their plans.

As for me:

Invites went out before Christmas and we've received a bunch back.
Dress came in 3 weeks ago too.
We obtained our Marriage Licence on Tuesday.
FH and one groomsman has been measured.
Bridal Party gifts were purchased.
Table Camaras purchased also.
Called Jennifer for makeover appointment.

Need to do a hair trial.
Purchase shoes, veil and tiara.
Decide what to so about RD & place cards.
Make a play list.
And a whole lot more that doesn't come to mind at the moment.

Those of you going to GTG, I'll see you there.

I'm sending my invites out on Sat morning. (Late!)

I just booked my DJ the other day.

My dress still hasn't come in nor has my MOH's (my sister, she's the only one on my side of the BP) Before I go to my florist I need that color swatch!!

I still need the shoes, jewelry and all that other stuff!

I still need to have hair & make-up trial

We still need the gifts for Groomsmen, MOH & Flowergirls.

I still have quite a few things to do!

Need to find a place for the rehearsal dinner.

Have to take Focus test at church on Jan 21. We can pick out our readings and music etc

We need to finalize the song list and the whole party really with the band leader who we booked back in November.
I have 2 more dress fitting and need to have my veil made (same woman is doing it)
Need to get bigger petticoat for the dress.
Need to Order yarmulkas
and pick out and rent tuxes for Groom, Best MAn, Dad, FFIL
and finalize the Menu
Need to book limos
I have to design and make place cards and table number cards and also get frames for table numbers.
Gifts for BM and MOH
Book a few dance lessons (and actually go to them)
Bring in the pic of my cake to the caterer aso they can order it
Decide what kind of jewelry I want to wear and buy it
Order favores
I am having hair and make-up trial with Jennifer on the 26th of January ( she finally called me back! )
Check in with my florist about my bouquet ( I never actually saw it)

Plenty to do!

ANd one more thing: we still haven't ordered the wedding bands! Just a small detail!

Hello March Brides!! Its getter closer and closer.

I mailed the invitation on Tuesday. The post office had to hand cancel but I have gotten calls from people saying the invites can undamgaed. Thank goodness because that is one thin I went way over budget for.

My headpiece comes in on the 15th going for a hair trial on the 25th.

3 out 4 bridesmaids picked up their dresses. One flowergirl has her dress and ihave to drop off the other one.

I ordered ribbons from Stateline Wholesellers for my favors and my mom has a contact at Hallmark store so I am getting my wrapping paper from there in a bout a week.

We still have to do the follwoing:
Song list for band
Tuxedos
Gifts for bridal party
Pay balance on honeymoon
Trial with florist
Meet with priest and set rehearsal date/dinner
Fianlize menu
Pick out a cake
wedding rings
gift for new hubby
Probably more to do but I can't think right now.

never been to one, and its kinda far out for me I would be coming from Queens.

You have a great memory...it was me that ordered my dress from Bridal Suite of Bayshore.

The story goes that I was told my dress was not in the fire and would arrive in December. When they called to tell me my BM dresses arrived, I asked about an update for my dress. They told me it would be in mid-February (which is 6 weeks before the wedding). Apparently, my dress shipped early and was in the store when the fire happened (and I was lied to about it). Anyway, supposedly my dress will now be in sometime this month, but we'll see what happens.

To make things worse, last night I went to pick-up my headpiece from them for my hair trial and it was the wrong one. They told me to call today to work it out, but they person I needed to talk to was conveniently not there. Hopefully I will get some answers tomorrow, but I have been less than thrilled with how things have been handled.

so sorry to hear all that Jennifer, if you recall i almost ordered my dress there too, but was just too far out for me to travel.

I think my dress should be in next week, I am calling my salon on monday, since my shoes wont be in until Tuesday, I dont want to go without them.

i am also thinking of going to coach limos monday or tuesday or next week if i can get my lazy bum to go

what limo place is everyone using? I want a partybus instead of limo, fh wants our own limo, but I dont so we wont, hee hee

Thanks...I am hoping that everything will work out with them. It has just been so frustrating. Today, I had to cancel my hair trial appointment because I don't have the headpiece and could not even get an update.

Anyway, I am glad that everyone else's planning is coming along. Some days I feel overwhelmed with how much more there is to do, but it seems that I am right on track with the rest of the March brides, which makes me feel better.
