Although it was a little difficult (more than I thought, I'll admit!) I brought my wedding dress to have it transformed into Maria's christening gown. Well! I knew it was going to be beautiful, but the sight of her in it was way too much for me ... I was sooo emotional!!

The dress maker is in Mineola on Jericho Tnpke ... called Designing Dreams. Some of you may already know of it ... and if you haven't ... GO! They make all kinds of juvenile dresses, christening, communion, quince anos, bar/bat mitzvas, flower girl ... or any special occasion you may have. I know we'll be customers there for MANY YEARS!! What a find!

gorgeous!!!! my wedding gown had a detachable train and i definitely want to use it for a christening outfit when the time comes.

This dress cost $350 to be transformed & custom made. Some of the dresses on the rack were not as expensive. I thought it was a little on the high side, but worth it to have an heirloom for our family. I'm hoping that Maria will be able to use it to baptize her own children.
