Marina del ray mini-review
So as promised, here is my mini-review of a recent wedding at the Marina del ray in the Bronx.
Unfortunately, I was very late to the cocktail hour because I was sleeping (worked the overnight shift the night before). But, I got there with about 15 minutes to spare. Everything (that was left) was great. I got the last bit of mashed potatoes from the mashed potato bar (even though I gave it to my FH, because I shoveled bacon on it and he loves bacon). I had some tuna tartar, shrimp with avocado, some carved ham and a mix of some other stuff and everything was very good.
The reception was awesome. Picked at the salad, had linguini with clam sauce for pasta (FH had the manicotti) and then I had the Salmon for dinner. My FH had the chicken and my friend had the prime rib. I tasted all of them and everything was AMAZING, so tender and flavorful, absolutely great. I am a big veggie girl, and the mixed veg (carrot and asparagus) was heavenly!!
They used satisfaction guaranteed entertainment and we were up and dancing the whole night. Never heard of the DJ, but I plan to go and get some quotes from them because they were so good.
The cake was delicious, not sure if it was the house baker or not though….
They didn’t have a venetian hour (but they had cookies etc on the table), which I was slightly upset about. But, they did have a ice cream Sunday bar and a chocolate fountain (I seriously dripped some chocolate on my plate and ate it with a spoon….yumm).
All in all, it was prob one of the best weddings we went to all year.
On a side note, we all then went to the Radison on new Rochelle and had a blast. I never knew there was a club in the hotel!
I know it’s a small review, but I hope it helped. FM me if you have any specific questions.
