We're going to check it out on Saturday. Any feedback on it? I can't wait, I've heard such good things about it and it looks absolutely beautiful in all the pictures. This is actually the first place we're looking at.

Hello, I'm a MDR bride, it's gorgeous there!, the view is beautiful, the rooms are beautiful, and the food is delicious! We recently went to make a payment and they told us that they added even more to the menu! and invited us to another tasting ( we had one already) to try out the new additions to the menu. Also, the owners are really great people to work with. They aren't pushy or rude, They are extremely accomodating, anything you want, suggest, or require, they will do for you! Honestly, I must have asked them about many different things that I want or was thinking about having and they are happy to make you happy. GL, if you want more details an info, FM me.

We were there to look at it and missed the exit so we had to get off at the next exit and take local roads... the place is in a really bad area (South Bronx) and it was scary just driving up to it. As we pulled up, there was a stray dog running around the property that they were trying to chase out. The place itself is really pretty but I was a little worried about guests leaving late at night. Just something to think about.

That's great to hear, I can't wait to see it. Too bad the weather isn't going to be nice on Saturday though.
I'm so excited to start looking at places. The only thing that could be a downfall is that all of my family lives out on LI so it's a little trek to get to the Bronx. We'll see what happens though.

It shouldn't be that bad you take the cross island to the Throggsneck bridge and its 5 mins away from there.

Re: Marina Del Rey
I just read your review and it sounds amazing. That's so great that they're so accommodating and helpful. Plus my father would die for the whole pig during the cocktail hour lol I'm just hoping they're not out of our price range.
Btw, your pictures are fantastic! I love them.

Re: Marina Del Rey
I've attended a minimum of 5 weddings there...I also considering marina del rey for my own wedding
(just my opinions)
PROS- amazinggg food, beautiful room with water view
CONS-very small bridal party room, outside cocktail hour doesn't hold many people, owner in my experience wasn't too friendly, not best location, toll, not many picture taking grounds

I'm a MDR bride also! We just went to the food tasting 2 weeks ago and it was great! the view is amazing! I was nervous about it being in the Bronx also but it is in Throgs neck which is a really nice area! It's the first exit off the throggs neck bridge....easy to miss so watch out for it!!! good luck let us know how it goes!

yeah dh and i didnt drive through a bad neighborhood when we attended a wedding at MDR. We got offf the throggs neck and were just minutes away and neighborhood wasn't bad at all. No problems either when leaving late at night, its quiet around there from what i remember

Re: Marina Del Rey
I've never been to a wedding there, but we did check it out.
We thought the view was breathtaking; however, the rest of MDR just wasn't for us.
