Well girls...I'm leaving for a nice LONG 11 day vacation. FH and I are leaving tomorrow after work to drive to Port Canaveral Florida to board Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas for a 7 day Eastern Caribbean Cruise! I am sooooooo excited. I am in NEED of a vacation and I can't wait!!! As you can imagine I won't be on much for the next bunch of days. I am actually bringing my little Toshiba so...if wireless isn't too much on the ship...you may see me poking around a bit.

We are going to St. Thomas, St. Martaain and Coco Cay, Bahamas. We were both on this ship in November of 05...so we are going to check out St. John's instead of staying in St. Thomas...I hear it is beautiful.
So jealous! Have a dacquari for me-on the beach! lol (I dont do boats so i'll prob never see these islands)

btw...I never thought I would do boats considering I get motion sick on an elevator or even if I spin around just one time. The Transderm patch and Bonine are your friends. I can even drink without it being a problem. I've been on 3 cruises in the last 2 years...so far...so good...I hope I didn't just jinx myself...
I am the same way about the motion sickness. My family tried to get me on a cruise this past summer but I didn't want to. My first one IF i ever go wont be a week. I feel i'll spend all that money and be stuck in bed the whole time. I dont even want to do the Circle Line even though FH is trying to get me to
i am real bad with this too and on top of that i have a fear of large bodies of water and being out in the middle of nowhere like that freaks me out, but decided to do the cruise thing when FH and his family invited me to last year and so glad i did, i wore the wrist bands and WOW they work great, i didnt get sick once and had the best time

LOL...I'm telling you...I could need to go 20 flights and I'd rather take the stairs instead of the elevator. I ALWAYS prefer to drive..I get sick so quickly. Seriously...If you decide to go...get the Transderm patch (the one that goes behind the ear) and Bonine (MUCH better than dramamean (sp?)) Com'on...You can do it!!!!
I've never tried the patch. On planes I do dramamine and the wrist bands. I know my mother has used ginger once that helped. Definitely won't be for the HM, maybe in 10 yrs lol
yeah..try a short one and see how you do!! To me...its one of the most relaxing vacations...

I think alot of people have the same fears as you the first time! ...but I have to say...I've never met anyone who was sorry they went. I'm really getting excited now...I should be in bed...I have a LONG drive ahead of me tomorrow!
