He made you pay for PROOFS? How are you to control the number of shots he takes? That hardly seems fair.
I went with Ferlise....they also customized a package for me, letting me choose the number of shots I wanted in each album, and the number of shots I wanted altogether. With their guidance, I came up with a package that fit both my needs and my budget.
I checked out Mark Kauffman also, when I was planning. He was a nice guy, but if your on a budget and can only see yourself spending a certain amount of money for the entire wedding (before and after) or only want to pay a certain amount for pictures (including proofs, thank you's and album)it is kind of hard to go by his pricing. I wanted a package deal, this is how much I'm paying and that's that. Not the "Oh well you can come to me a year from your wedding and pick out your album" that was not for me. Although his photgraphy may be excellent and "artsy". It was not something I was going into debt for.
But I must say some people in the past have posted about Mark Kauffman and what a great job he did and that it really worked out for them. "To each his own" I say.
