Marnles

Just wanted to fill you in on our meeting w/ Rev. April on Sunday. We went there b/c I've been nervous about the ceremony and since I'm usually the one to talk to her over the phone, I wanted my fi to be involved more too. So, we briefly rehearsed, changed a few things, now the ceremony is final, except we might add one more reading. Anyway, she is so great!! We hung out with her for 1 1/2, and she has such positive energy, she always seems to make me feel better. She never has anything negative to say. And, she showed us the albums that she makes for couples (she prints the ceremony on nice paper and puts it the album). Very pretty.
I'm so excited!

Nina -
I'm sooooooo glad to hear that!! That is so wonderful! So what type of reading might you add? How long is your ceremony? What colors did you get for the binder she made you? You're wedding is right around the corner, you must be soooo excited! Is Rev. April rehearsing with you the night before? Is she meeting you at the restaurant? Hey, did you post a picture of yourself - I'm dying to see what you look like!! Keep me posted on all these things and I'll be thinking of you!!! ALL THE BEST

Re: Marnles

April said that our ceremony shouldn't take more than 20 minutes total. It's perfect b/c Watermill is very strict and we have to be out of the chapel in 30 minutes. My fi is Irish Catholic and I am Indian Hindu, so we want to have one reading from each religion. She has a variety of really nice readings on her website. If I remember correctly, the binder is ivory fabric w/ some design on it with a green/gold border that she will put on one side. We are not having a rehearsal dinner, only 2 flower girls in our bridal party and Watermill has a brief rehearsal 1/2 before. My fi's parents are taking us and my parents out on Thursday and we are having a Hindu ceremony the night before in a temple in Queens (which I invited April to)! So, more fun for us!

I'm very excited about everything, except nervous b/c I don't know what song I'm walking down the isle to and we need to get moving on the song lists.

I don't have a scanner so I can't post our pic.

Re: Marnles...a reading

April just emailed me a reading, it's lovely:

Look to this day,
For it is life,
The very life of life.
In its brief course lie all the varieties
And realities of your existence;
The bliss of growths
The glory of action,
The splendor of beauty;
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow is only a vision,
But today well lived makes
Every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well, therefore, to this day.
Such is the salvation of the dawn.

It's from the Hindu 'bible'.
