Where should I go to get one and what do I need ? does it take long? im soo lost with this, haha!
We went to NYC Clerk's office and it was a breeze!!!!! In and out in 10 mins! You only need one form of ID in NYC too and I think need 2 in LI (dont quote me though) HTH!
we went to NYC City Clerks office - we only needed our drivers license and it took like 20 minutes total!
We went to the Smithtown Town Hall and it took like a half hour. We needed either our birth certificates or our baptism certificates
fill the form out online so you don't have to do it there. you have to fill it out w/in 3 weeks of your date. it just asks you your names, addresses, parent's' names, where everyone was born, etc... they'll give you a confirmation # and then it's 123.
We went to the one in Brooklyn. FH used his nys id and I used my passport since my id is expired. The whole process was pretty quick, also don't forget your $35 fee.

is it different if its your second marriage? do i have to bring divorce papers and list my ex husband anywhere? Any divorcee's have experience with this?
