fh and i had the worst time today trying to get a marriage license!!!!!
first off trying to find parking anywhere near quuens blvd is a nightmare because anything within a one mile radius because they r all reserved for court officals
second..after a 20 min walk we ask 3 people which way to go,none of them know..finally one guy says to make a left..we go see a cop and a long line..we ask the cop she says and i quote'do i look like i know where to get a marriage license'..i walk in the doors to have a hand thrown i my face as this woman cop finishes her convo with her friends..when she is finally done she tells me to go on the line
ok so we ait on the line..after 45 minutes in the hot sun..she comes out and says the line inside is too long and u will not be seen today..now its only 320 and they r suposed to close at 4..im so pissed so we just leave
sorry for the ramble but here r my 2 questions
1.anyone know other place to go other than 120-55 queens blvd
2.i will be in deer park long island on wed..anyone know one around there
please just tell me where u went..at this point i will go anywhere but back there

I live in Queens but went to Manhasset (Plandome Rd). We were in and out in 5 minutes, parking right in front. I REFUSE to deal with anything in Queens that I can deal with much easier in LI lol..like the DMV..I will be going to Garden City to change my name.

i was in manhattan and was in an out really quickly too. . filled out the form online then just had to wait about 10 minutes to have our names called and that was it
SOOOO sorry you had the nightmare time. . I totally can imagine what a PITA that was!!

If you're going to be in Deer Park on Wednesday, you can go to Babylon Town Hall. It's right on Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst. Here's the link:
I went in the city and it was really quick and we were there during lunch. Other than that you can go to any town clerk on LI. CHeck town of Hempstead, Babylon, Huntington websites for times and locations.....
If you are going to be in Deer Park...Town of Huntington or Babylon are probably the closest.

We went to the Islip Town Clerk's office on a Friday afternoon. We were the only one's in there and in and out in 20 minutes. It isn't too far from Deer Park (~10-15 min). Oh and we parked right across the street from the front door.

I did it in brooklyn...fill out the form online and you will def save time and aggravation!!!
They also say to avoid mondays and fridays when getting your license or thats what the person in brooklyn told me.

If you're going to be in Deer Park you can try Babylon. We were going to do it there but then we found ourselves near the Town of Hempstead office that day but we've been to the Babylon one for other stuff (we live in town of babylon) and it never seems too crowded.

i live in massapequa, and went to the town offices. if you are willing to drive out to exit 29 south on the ss, it is right down the road. the tobay offices are on the left hand side of 107. it is a really small office, and they are really sweet. it took us about 20 mins. FM if you need more information.

Soooo sorry to hear about that awful experience. If you are going to be on LI then there are two offices near the deer park area one on Sunrise Hwy in Lindenhurst and one on Main St. in Islip. If you want directions or anything just FM me.

Ugh sorry you had to go through that G!
We are going tomorrow to get our license. We'll probably go to either Long Beach or Manhasset, depending on what time of day it is.

Im sorry hun. That stinks. It took me and FH 10 min to get ours and everyone was so nice and helpful but we went by us.. in suffolk so too far for you

Gina I went to Massapequa Town hall sounth today with FH. We were in and out in 15 minutes. The people were soooo nice and accomadating no line! It's 977 Hicksville Road which is north of sunrise highway. It will be on the left hand side right before jerusalem ave. Seriously the best experience ever!

we got ours in farmingville ... like 20min away from Deer Park ... we were in and out in 30min and we also got our dog licensed there that day...

Sorry to hear about your terrible experience
DH and I went to the one in Hempstead...went during the week around 12pm and we were in and out- took about 20 minutes total
