I stupidly put my married name on one of my flights for the honeymoon - - - - I realize that my named won't be 'legally' changed the day after the wedding. JetBlue is saying its okay to just bring a copy of my marriage certificate with me on the flight.
Will I have it that soon? Does the priest sign it the day of the wedding???

Unfortunately not...he has to mail it in, and you should have it by the time you get back. Maybe you could bring a copy of the application?

You will have a temporary marriage license before your wedding...from what I understood once it is signed it becomes legal but then needs to be submitted into the town for processing.
I would call your local office to find out what to do...That way there are no problems on the day of.

Jetblue will require the legal document - i don't think they'll take what the pastor will give you. It's nice, but it's not legal.

UPDATE- I had them put a hyphen to make my madien name be on the tix as well. Ughh so annoying. I leave the day after so I wont have anything legal with my name changed. They keep saying it 'shouldn't be a problem. I hope they don't tell me I can't get on the plane.

I might not be right but I think they send it to the state then they send it to you. You wont get one right away. I would call Jet blue and change it!
