Unless I am a moron (which tends to be true) I dont understand the whole licence garb. I went to court with Jim before the wedding. Get the application, gave it to my priest at the Rehearsal. We signed it, and our MOH and BM signed it. now when the hell do we get the FREAKING certificate. Shouldn't it have come by now. Who do I call. All I have is the Church certificate of marriage our priest gave us.

I was told that it would take 5-6 weeks from the wedding date to receive the actual certificate. The priest at our wedding submitted it after the wedding. I wouldn't expect it for a couple of weeks.

it depends on your township but in the township of Smithtown we received ours via mail within 2 weeks. But it was winter time and less busy I'm sure

We got ours more than a month after we got married. Be patient. You will get it.
I've been married 8.5 months and managed to get knocked up, but I haven't been to the DMV yet

we got married on the same day and I saw posts where other brodes said they got it like a week later. I just got mine yesterday. I called the twon hall where we got teh license and asked when I should receieve it and the lady was able to tell me it hadn't gone out yet. If you are nervouse, i would call where you got the license but like I said, I just got mine yesterday so no worries!

It should get to you within 2 weeks of the wedding date. If not, call the Town Clerk. They'll tell you exactly what's happened with it.

I got married on September 23 and still don't have it. I decided today I should call...so, I called the County Clerks Office and they said they have nothing on file of us even getting married. So they searched and looked-found nothing. Blames it on the mail. Thank God we made copies. So I get to go in tomorrow and get everything figured out and get the paper (FINALLY) to change my name.
I'm ticked this had to happen. Oh well, I guess.

Call the Town Clerk. They keep all of these files - not the County.

We got ours at Islip Town Hall and it was in the mail waiting for us when we got back fron our honeymoon a week and a half after the wedding. I'm sure it will come soon. Just be patient
