Marriage Certs from NYC

Hi Girls,
I'm moving within two weeks after my wedding and I was wondering how long it took you to get back a copy of your marriage license after you were married? (if you filed with the city)
I need my marriage cert for legal reasons as I will be moving outside of the country and I can't wait a month or two to recieve the official cert.

You get it immediately, but must wait 24 hours before getting married (or you need a special waiver). The license is only good for 60 days once you get it...

No, I think the OP means how long does it take to receive your certificate after your wedding.

OP, I did not file for my license in NYC, but my MIL (who was checking my mail for me when we were on our HM) said it arrived exactly one week after the wedding. For most girls it seems as if they receive it about 2-3 weeks post wedding, so you may want to check with the office you received your license from to see if there is any way to do a rush order or something.
