Marriage Licence-NYC/Suffolk County

Our officiant/Paster is registered in Suffolk county. Does that mean that I can not get a marriage licence in new york city? Do I have to go to suffolk county's clerk to get it? Thanks.

as long as the lisence is from a town clerk's office in the state of ny, u're ok.
