Where do I go to get it? How much is it? I far in advance should I go?

We just got ours today at the Town Hall in Hempstead. It is open from 8-4. A license costs $40. There is a 24 hour waiting period after you get the license, and it is good for 60 days. If you click on the 'Planning' tab here on LIW there is a link to all the places.

we just got ours tonight at the Brookhaven Town Hall...there open till 7pm (but get there by 6:30pm) on Mondays! :)

You can't go until it is 60 days or under until your wedding. The license has an expiration date printed on top.
