you have to go to your town hall or court, you're applicable to apply for your license 60 days before you're wedding. Well, you can apply anytime but the license will expire after 60 days.

Ok so what happens after it expires?
If we get it like 2 weeks before the wedding is that ok?
Why is there an expiration date?

you have 60 days before it 'expires' so if you get it 2 weeks before, you're fine

I just got my license on 11/30/2007. We went to Hempstead town hall. Its $40 we brought our drivers license and passport. It took about 20 min.

The license expires after 60 days

About two weeks after the wedding you get the actual certificate
