the earliest you can do it is 60 days before the wedding. The latest you can do it is 2 days before the wedding, dont do it the day before bc it takes 24 hours to process

it depends on where you go to determine when you receive it.
We went to Manhasset today and walked out with our license.
Some places only require photo id ( DL or state issued or passport) We also had to bring in our birth certificates.
Call first and ask.

forgot to say you can get it anywhere in the state you are marrying in at the resistrars office.
Usually it is in a municipal building.

EVERY single place gives it to you the same day on the spot. The 24 hours thing is that in order to get married even after you have the license in your hand, you have to wait 24 hours. Not that you dont receive it until 24 hours, i guess the processing time is in their own office and when it goes through or whatever they do. But no matter where you go, you'll get your license the day same day.
