When before your wedding do you plan on getting your marriage license? My wedding is June 18, is getting my license on May 24th too early? I have the day off (which is RARE) so I want to make the most of the day. I think license's are valid for 60 days so I should be in the clear?

Re: Marriage License
The licenses are valid for 60 days starting the day after you apply. I am getting married after you and we got ours last week because like you it was rare that we both had time to go.

You bring it with you to your rehearsal and your officiant and witnesses sign it then your officiant has to mail it somewhere after the wedding (the marriage license office will give you the addressed envelope) and then you will get your marriage certificate in the mail.

Re: Marriage License
I'm getting married June 19. FH and I took off May 19 to go get it.. It;'s good for 60 days so you're fine. I prefer earlier than later in case something happens and you don't get it

Re: Marriage License
Just double check the town halls website where you are going to get it - each town hall has different rules for what you need and dont need.
Either way, just bring your birth certificate (both of you) so you dont have the problem I had LOL.
But you give it to the priest at the rehearsal and everyone signs it and then you mail it back to the town and they issue you the cert that you get in the mail!
