how long after the wedding did you have to wait to change your names? do we get the license back that day?

same here, mine was waiting for me when I got home from my 12 day HM. I changed my name shortly after getting back.
I applied in long island and got our liscence in a week! I will not be changing until after our HM in Dec since I can't get my passport in time.
