Marriage license + birth certificate

Are there any places you can go to that you don't need to bring your birth certificate?

My fh and I took off to go on Friday to get our marriage license- but dont have our birth certificates- I guess our parents do but getting it during the week is an issue.

any help on this would be appreciated!

You dont need it if you go to any one of them in the 5 boros... you can fill it out online and then you just show up with your license and a debit or credit card

really?? thats amazing- ok so I guess Queens blvd is the most convenient..

Are you baptised?

Getting your baptismal certificate is an acceptable document under the 'proof of birth' category and is cheaper and usually faster an option than getting your birth certificate!

If that's an option for you guys ... I'd do that.

You can most likely get a copy free and if you're baptised locally you can just call the church and then go in person to pick it up.

If you go in Manhattan you only need your driver's license!

What?!?!? That is crazy..we went in Westchester where we live and we actually had to go back cause the birth certificate that FH presented was not considered an 'official birth certificate', just a birth announcement.
