Marriage License-FH is divorced and doesnt know where his divorcee decree is..........

Ok, so as we were going over our wedding ceremony, I told FH we need to go and get our marriage license and I start going over what he needs.
He picks this time to tell me that he doesnt know where his divorce decree is.
Anyone know how to go about getting a copy of this? He got divorced about 8 years ago and has no clue.

He needs to contact the State/County were his divorce paper are. Usually it's the 'County Clerk' department who handles it.

actually, he needs to contact the District Clerk's office where he got divorced. Call them and find out what he needs to send. We just had to do this and send a check for $1 per page ($3 total) requesting a certified copy of the divorce decree, a self addressed, stamped envelope, his driver's license # on the check and the case # in the letter (which they'll give you on the phone when you call). They said it's about a 1-2 day turnaround from when they get it to when they send it out. My FH lost his when we moved into our new home...
