Marriage License in NYC, City Hall

For those of you got your marriage license at City Hall in NYC, how long did the entire process take?

oh i want to know that too I think most ppl said it took about 20 min. When are you going? I guess we have to go soon right?

Hi! not too long; maybe total 1 hr? its complex tho; you have to go on like 3 different lines!!!

Thank you. FH and I were planning on going tomorrow after we get our E-pics taken. FH thought we should go early to 'beat the crowds', but I was wondering if there were any crowds to beat.

not to long at least 20 min, try to get there as early as you can so you can get out of there, it tends to get busy after 1pm, people either come during their lunch break!

We went first thing in the morning (right when they opened) and were out of there in less than 20 minutes.

PLEASE make sure either you bring a money order or credit card with you to pay for the fees. They do not allow debit and I purposely didn't bring my credit cards with me in those last few days to stave off temptation LOL...but beyond that its pretty quick....half hour to an hour tops
