Marriage License Question

We both live and work in NYC and are getting married on LI. Any past/future brides in the same situation? Where should we get our marriage license?

We just got it in NYC - FYI, if you go downtown to City Hall, either go early (8:30) or in the afternoon. Late morning is a long wait (It was for us at least!)

I'm pretty sure they open at 9 a.m. I think we waited about a half hour when we went.

In Queens, they won't let you in if you don't have the money order made out to City Clerk. There were a few people who were not allowed entrance because they didn't have the proper stuff.

We got ours in Queens too. We didn't know about the money order thing. So, while I filled out the application, DH went across the street to get a M.O.
