We are getting married in town of brookhaven,.. so does that mean we go to Brookhaven town hall to get our license? And does anyone know if you can go on Saturdays?

Yes, you go to Brookhaven town hall over by Bald Hill. The old Allstate building (i think it was).
They are only open during the week.

as long as you are getting married in ny state (not the city) you can go to any town hall in nys for the marriage lic

you can go anywhere in NY to get your license! All town halls are only open monday-friday 8:30-4pm and you must pay by money order! no exceptions!
we went to the branch in the city, it took 15 minutes, very easy. we brought our passports but you can use other forms of id.
call 311 for more info on marriage licenses! good luck!

The other girls are correct, you can go to any town hall in NY to get your license. However, Brookhaven does have one night during the week (I believe it is Monday) that they are open late for marriage licenses.

We paid for ours in cash-its $40 You can go to any town hall in the state of New York to get your marriage license. To be safe I would go to one in the same county We only needed our DL and Birth certificate to get ours

Okay, I found this on the Town of Oyster Bay Town Clerk webpage....
'The Town Clerk is responsible for issuing a New York State Marriage License to qualified applicants as well as recording the marriage with the New York State Department of Health. The marriage record is on file in this office and in Albany.
Licenses to marry in New York State may be obtained from the Town Clerk’s Office (Town Hall East, 54 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay, New York 11771 or Town Hall South, 977 Hicksville Road, Massapequa, New York 11758) regardless of the residence of either of the parties. Once the license is issued, the ceremony may be performed anywhere in the state. A marriage license is good for sixty (60) days, beginning twenty-four hours (24) after the license is issued. The requirements for the issuance of marriage licenses in the Town of Oyster Bay are mandated by the provisions of the New York State Domestic Relations Laws.'
As per the above, I can get my marriage license in Oyster Bay and get married in Queens ('the ceremony may be performed anywhere in the state), no prob, right??? Please help!!!

Thats strange..when I went to 161st in the Bronx it is the license was $35....

The one in Islip is open until 7:30 on tuesdays. It was $40 and we paid in cash

They are only Monday thru Fridays. But Mondays I think they are there until about 6 or 7. The other days they close at 4:30

I don't about Saturdays you would have to call, but DH and I went to the Town of Oyster Bay and got married in the Town of Huntington DH lost his Birth cert and we needed a new one.
