If you can get your license up to 60 days before, can you start the name change process then?

I got my marriage license today.
I am under the impression that you can't do the name change process yet until you are officially married. I think that after I am married, I go to SS office. I can't start the process of changing my name b/c I am not married yet. I think that is how it works anyway......

got our license today...i think the license has to be filed before your name change can begin...
