I just have a basic question on getting a marriage license. My fiance and I live in Nassau but our reception hall where we are getting married is in Queens, does that mean we must obtain our marriage license in Queens County or can we do it in Nassau? Our pastor wasn't 100% sure.

I believe that it's a license for the county in which you plan to wed, so it should be Queens. I would call the county clerk's office just to be sure though.

You can get your marriage licence anywhere in NYS.

You can get it anywhere in New York State like the poster above said. So you can get yours in Nassau or in any of the five boroughs. You could even go upstate and get it in Syracuse if you really wanted to, but I don't think that would be very convenient.
We got ours in Brooklyn and are getting married in Nassau.
