Does anyone know when i should go to get my marriage license ? I'm getting married on oct 9 th ,about 46 days away . Did any one go to city hall to get it ? How bad was it there? I know you have a certain amount of time b4 it expires I just don't know how long. Thanks for the help!

you can go from 60 days till at least 24 hours prior to the start of your ceremony...
We got married on a Friday and we went on Wednesday to get it...

I went in Queens and it took about 15 minutes tops.
You can go get your marriage license anytime from now up until 24 horus before the wedding! It expires in 60 days!
ETA: Don't forget some churches require it at the rehearsal rather than the ceremony!

we went about one week before the wedding, but you can go anytime from now till 24 hours prior to the wedding.
you can go in any city hall (we went to Huntington) and were in and out in about 15 minutes (all of that time was filling out the paperwork, mind you - it was not waiting on lines).
We went on a Monday morning, right when they opened

I went to the city clerk's office in Manhattan around 9am (they open at 8:30) We were in and out in about 15 mins!
