Marriage License (Quick questions)

Hi ladies I have a few questions that need confirming, I would like to get my license on Friday, my wedding is in less than 3 weeks!

1. Do I need my birth certificate or is my Drivers License ok?

2. FH and I will be living in Valley Stream, I now live in Suffolk and he lives in Nassau....which Town Hall do I go to?

3. Do we need a witness for each of us?

4. Do I get the certificate that day? How long is the wait?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Marriage License (Quick questions)

I just got mine yesterday you NEED your original birth certificate with the raised seal AND your license....

you can register in either town hall

no witnesses needed- they'll sign the day of your wedding

and you'll get a copy right there for the minister, priest or whoever to fill out the day of your wedding then that person sends it back to the town hall where you'll be registered and in a couple weeks you'll be mailed the certificate...

to make things go faster- print out the marriage license form befoer you go and fill it out at home- we got to cut the line cause we had it already filled out

good luck so exciting!!!! i'm getting married in 2 weeks!!!!
