I did it in Queens. I brought everything with me and all they wanted was our license! Go figure! You should have at least your license, SS card and birth certificate or passport to be on the safe side.

FYI: The day we went to the office in Manhasset to get our license, a couple was turned away b/c they only had one form of identification. The woman said that Queens accepts one form of ID but that in Nassau you need TWO.

Here's the website of the office we went to

Marcela: Would a license and passport be enough ID?

Nevermind, I see you already posted that. We will do the same as you.

Thank you so much.

GIGIBRIDE-
You go to the clerk's office in Town Hall, which is on Front Street (I think the cross street is Washington or Clinton). I think it is in the newer of the two buildings.

Do you need to go to the clerks' office in the county you are getting married in? I ask b/c we live in Queens, getting married in Suffolk. didn't know if it mattered where we went?

Thanks!
