If you are getting married in Suffolk County, does your license need to be from Suffolk County? We live in NYC, so we are trying to figure out where we will need to get it. Does anyone know? I have a phone call into the reception site--that's where we are also getting married, but haven't heard back yet. Thank in advance for replies

My priest told me that we can get it anywhere as long as it is in New York State, since it is issued by the state.
