If I am thinking correctly, you have to get this within two months of the wedding, right?
What days and times are most town halls open until? Any help would be appreciated it!!

Re: Marriage lisence question
Islip Town Hall is open until 4:30 pm during the week. On Tuesdays until 7:30pm. It is good for 60 days. Both bride and groom need to be present. Cost is $40.00. You need: original birth certificate, Drivers License or passport, and Social Security number (not card). Telephone number is 224-5490.
Hope this helps Jennie.

Re: Marriage lisence question
Thanks guys... any others besides Islip? I am worried because we can't go until September but once school starts I will be working late in an after school program. As long as they have one late night we should be good :) Thanks again!

Re: Marriage lisence question
On LIW, just click on 'planning' and then on 'marriage licenses' and it gives you a whole list of where you can get it done. It has to be within 60 days of the wedding.

Bronx Supreme Court has the same hours. I went last week. In and out no problem.

Re: Marriage lisence question
You dont need to make an appointment to get your marraige license....you just go.
And as far as late nights, there is not one town hall that I know that is open past 4pm Mon-Fri ONLY---only thing is you can try going on your and FH lunch hour (if possible) or maybe taking a 1/2 day if nighttime is the only time to do it....I had to do that anyway
Just a thought.......

Re: Marriage lisence question
You get it within a month of the wedding. If you look on the LIW home page, they have a section for marrigae license with all the places and phone numbers in the area

I teach so leaving during lunch or taking a half day is not really feasible. Somebody said Islip has a late night so we might have to go there, unless we wait till I have a day off that is not a national holiday...
