Married!!

I had an amazing wedding on Friday. LIW was a huge help with all the planning and it definitely showed at the wedding, so thank you all for your tips and recommendations, and even the couple of purchases I made from past brides.

DH and I are happier than we've ever been. It's amazing what getting married can do for a relationship. We are stronger than ever. We were both not nervous at all the day of the wedding because we were so happy to be with each other. Our cards to each other said similar things without even knowing what we were going to write. We just felt so close and truly like we were coming together as one. The speeches and even the cards from our guests all said the same thing of how perfect we are for each other and it really was sweet knowing that everyone else was just as happy for us.

After the honeymoon I will write a review, but I had to give a shout out to some amazing vendors really quick.

Stefan's Florist - the most amazing flowers I have ever seen. They built a gorgeous arch for us to stand under for the ceremony and I cannot wait to share the picture with you. It's so beautiful. The centerpieces were beautiful. I have ZERO complaints about this and would not change one thing. Josh is who I worked with there. He is amazing.

Pastor April - everyone still talks about how amazing she was. The ceremony was so beautiful and she has an amazing speaking voice so she just added to the romanticism of the ceremony. I love her so much.

Marie Stack (MAS Music) - I drove her nuts with the song selection for my ceremony. She did a beautiful job and she is so sweet and pleasant.

DJ Teddy Rauert - I wanted a sweet ceremony and a crazy party. He made the wedding. I cannot say enough about him. We planned our wedding date around his availability and it was so worth it. I'm not sure if he does anything other than weddings but I would book him for every party I'd ever have.

Red Carpet Coach Limo - Amazing. We were supposed to have a SUV to transport us to the venue from hotel and then a party bus shuttle. They upgraded us to the party bus for the entire day (and asked if they could first in case I really wanted the SUV.) The bus was clean, on time, and just perfect.

Dana Hodges (Hair) - She works out of Katherine Jon Salon in Port Jeff Station but does bridal parties on her own. She is amazing. All the girls had gorgeous hair and received compliments all day. We got ready really early and the hair stayed in all night. She works quickly but didn't rush. She's amazing.

Nadine Vasquez (Make-Up) - Amazing!! The girls all looked stunning. Everyone said I looked beautiful and not overdone. She also works quickly without rushing. She brought one assistant and did 9 faces in about 3 hours and some were airbrush. Her prices are the most reasonable I found, too.

Both Dana and Nadine were so calm, fun, and sweet. They have the perfect personalities you want around you on the morning of your wedding when you can be nervous or frazzled.

Viana Hotel & Spa - it's a beautiful hotel, clean updated rooms, the staff is sooo nice (everyone would say that after talking to one of them.) I'm so happy I chose them for the hotel block.

Ken Hild (Photographer) - Amazing. The guys in the bridal party were definitely drunk and obnoxious and Ken dealt with it perfectly. He is so professional and he has a great attitude. He showed me a few photos on his camera after he took them and I cannot wait to see them all. He had Chris assisting him and I know sometimes Chris works as the main photographer when Ken is booked. I would have felt equally comfortable having Chris as the main photographer as well. Another great guy.

Pete - Wedding Cinema (Videographer) - The most sweet and pleasant vendor I think I had, and they were all pleasant and sweet. You did not know he was there at all. I'm actually a little worried about that because I think I could've said some stuff that I probably don't want on video, lol. He was so non-intrusive and he worked very well with Ken and Chris. I can't wait to see our crazy video.

We used Marie Stack of MAS music for our ceremony too and she was fabulous! My bridal party went down to Paradise by Coldplay, i went down to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri and the recessional was Dear God by Avenged Sevenfold, which you can imagine wasn't the easiest! I only wish i could hear the music again because on the day of i was so emotional and frazzled i barely remember what it sounded like!

Same for me. My husband said the music and ceremony was perfect, but of course I don't remember hearing it. I'll wait for the video for that!
