Married Brides or anyone who can answer..

When does the “first dance” typically occur? Some websites are confusing. Some say the first dance is right when you are announced and then some say after the 1st course is served..how did you/will you be doing it?

we're doing the first dance right after we're announces. I went to a wedding where they did the first dance after the first course, but to I thought it was a little strange because music was being played and people were dancing before the first course was served....

right after we are announced, tho FH would probably prefer during the first course so that everyone wont be staring at us - or at least thats what he think

We are going to do our First Dance right after we are announced. Then half way through, we will have parents of the Birde and Groom come in and then the Bridal Party!!!
If we have time with our song, then we'll have every one else join in!!!!

Thats a great idea! I always thought all the dance songs should be done right after one another..never thought about spreading them out..great idea

Fairly common when you walk into the room announced as Mr & Mrs. that is usually your first dance.. But you can also talk to your DJ to see what you would like to do.. Im sure he has plenty of experience..
