2: did you / do you think it is necessary to have your stylist with you?
Problem is this, FH thinks it's necessary but doesn't want to pay what it costs.
I say, it's not really necessary. They pin and spray the heck out of it and it won't go anywhere.
Your advice and input will be most helpful!!!

Re: Married ladies, I need your advice about hair...
My hairstylist put a lot of bobby pins and and hairspray in my hair and it did not move all night. I expressed to her my concern for it coming out and she alleviated my fears by adding pins and spray until I felt it was tight enough and told her it was good.
I was so impressed with how well it stayed in!!! Even afterwards at the hotel when I was taking it out, I had half the pins on the table in front of me and my hair still wouldn't budge!!

1) no I did not have someone stay with me 2) no I do not think it is necessary at all
Like Cindy said, they put so much hair spray and bobby pins in your hair, its not going anywhere! My hair was half up/half down and I don't think it changed a bit from the moment she finished till the end of the day when I took it all out.

My hair didn't go anywhere, by the end of the night it was still perfect (except for one curl got pulled, but a lot of people were hugging me and putting their arms around my shoulder. It was to be expected).

Totally unnecessary...just make sure it's pinned up well. I seriously fell asleep on my hair because I was too tired to take it apart...I even went to breakfast the next day with it in.

It took me 2 hours to get it out of my hair. I wasn't concerned at any point through the night.
My SIL and MIL both had their hair still done at breakfast the next day. But I couldn't sleep with the tiara in.

Nah, I had mine in ALL day from 10am until the reception ended at 1 in the morning! My hair stayed all day... but honestly once you're at the reception you don't even care what your hair looks like!! My DH's watch even got caught in my hair at one point when he was spinning me and I didn't even care.
Just bring some extra bobby pins and hair spray.. you can fix it up yourself.

No I did not have anyone stay with me and my hair stayed all night.....if anything, I'd have the makeup person stay before the hair person....because the most they could do for you is put more pins in and spray it more.

i dont think you need it. my hairstylist put a lot of hairspray and bobby pins and it was fine all night and lasted thru the heat and humidity. my bangs needed a bit of hairspray now and again because i had the sweeping bang thingy but i did that myself or my DOC did it. save your money...

Totally unnecessary, especially for an updo.

I only had my make up artist stay with me. My hair stayed put until the next day.

No...not needed...I had my hair done at 8:30 and reception ended at midnight---I didn't touch it up once and it stayed perfectly!

I do not think it is necessary. I had my hair and makeup done early in the morning and it lasted wonderfully for my 5:30 ceremony and it wasn't even an upstyle and I had no problem at all.
