DH and I combined car insurance policies. Between a discount on my car for being married, and now having a multi car discount, we are saving about $700 / year on car insurance!!!
I completely forgot about it until DH brought it up last week!
we just did this and are literally paying about $40 a month between the 2 of us!!!!!!!!

Damn. I gotta do that. I just got the renewal for my car insurance and my premium went up $90 for 6 months.

fyi - if you already live with your FH, you can do this, we already have a joint policy and saved a ton of money.

Only some companies let you do this. FH and I have 1 policy with Geico, however, when I called Allstate for a quote they wouldn't let us combine a policy until we are married.

I had Geico and DH had All State. When we contacted each company to see which would be cheapest to combine on, All State wanted almost $600 more for the year. We definitely went with Geico!

Definitely!!! Fh was already on my policy and we only have one car but once we got married we are saving about an extra $60 a month. I'll take anything!!lol

yea its true only certain companies let you do this....geico would allow us on the same policy but no discount....we have state farm and have the proper discounts.

Any comoany that rates upon households will let u have a combined policy whether ur married or not
