Married ladies - what went wrong?

Married ladies - what went wrong?

I am pretty sure I have thought through every detail of my wedding at least 1000 times, so I feel pretty prepared in case anything goes astray. But then I was thinking anything that might go wrong would probably be something that I never would have thought of! So, I am curious to know from the married ladies, what types of things went wrong on your day and how did you handle?

TIA!

2. Instead of the Rolls Royce they sent a Mercedes Limo (which I was soooo upset about)
3. My Dj didnt play all of our must-play songs.

.
About the limo we got a free-limo ride to the airport...either way I would never reccommend that company to anyone.
and about the DJ...nothing I realized that some songs were not played like a week after the wedding.

Yess....I actually realized that when we were on our HM...I just started thinking about the music and quickly realized lots of the songs were not played. I asked DH and he dosent remember the songs been played either, so he confirmed my suspicion.

Re: Married ladies - what went wrong?

I am happy to pretty much nothing. The only thing that went slightly off schedule was the pictures before the cocktail hour. We wound up taking way more pictures at the church than we wanted to, which made us late getting to the park to take BP pics, which then made us late to meet our immediately families early at the venue for family photos before the start of CH. It turned out fine though. I was able to enjoy my mashed potato bar before it was housed by everyone and DH and I got to enjoy the steel drummer like we wanted.

Also, since we were in a rush, we had forgotten to take the picture outside with the 'Thank You' parasol and wound up taking it inside the venue. I knew it was going to look right and when we got the proofs back it was confirmed so we won't be using it for the thank you cards. Oh well.

1. I totally didn't make enough programs
2. My centerpieces got really messed up (my mom and matre d fixed them for the most part but we are STILL arguing with the florist for money back)
3. I was eating barely nothing the week of the wedding bc of stress and whatnot and because of that The top of my dress was a little loose... I had to keep pulling it up all damn night!!
4. I forgot my cake topper (in the long run it really didnt matter to me at all) but they put the bow on the cake horribly which annoyed me... But at that point there was nothing I could do

But honestly everything (except the centerpieces) didn't really bother me when it all came down to it... Everything else was perfect and ran smooth.... Little things are going to happen you just need to either think of quick solutions or let them just go over you head

Re: Married ladies - what went wrong?

1. Our limo had no AC. And it was at least 90. Slightly gross.

2. Our DJ had technical issues and didn't play anything but techno for the first half hour of the wedding. Then FHs mother/son dance kept skipping, not sure what happened there. But he made a full recovery, so hopefully no one remembers

3. I got BLACK GREASE all over the back of my dress before the ceremony while taking pictures. If you are anal about your dress, be careful where you take pics before your ceremony.

4. I spilled marinara all over my dress during CH. Oops.

5. My cake cutting set that my mom gave us for our engagement went missing after we dropped our stuff at the RH So we had to cut the cake with a regular knife. i'm really mad about this.

6. I barely ate anything. I was so looking forward to being at CH, but we spent so much time saying hello that I didn't get to eat anything, including the surprise mashed potato bar my mom got for us

7. Our tux place forgot one of the groomsmans tux and had to overnight it and we had to get it the morning of.

I think thats all, but my wedding was truly a comedy of errors. But it was still the BEST day of my life!

ETA: Forgot to add how we dealt. Seriously, I was just calm. Sh!t happens, and freaking out about it isn't going to solve anything, it will just make the day worse. So we sweated in the limo, pinned my dress over the grease, put tide pen on the marinara, danced to the techno anyway and called the RH about our serving set. Again, things WILL go wrong, you just have to roll with the punches.

1. dj placed our first dance song too fast even though I gave them a slowed down version. It messed us up.

2. Photographer didn't stay on timeline and we had to begin the ceremony. We never got formal photos of a lot of family members. Still not sure until I see the proofs if I even have candids of my brothers, sister and grandma.

I have to say though...so much of the day went better than I could have imagined :)

I am sorry you had some mishaps on your wedding date, btw did you use Royalty L!mos? If you did, that's what they are known for, pay for something, send something else.

The dj played a lot of the must play songs as people were saying goodbye and leaving. The party was pretty much over. But I dont' really care about that.

Re: Married ladies - what went wrong?

1. My makeup artist was running late (there was a parade going on in the town next to mine so they shut down the ENTIRE main road), so I didn't get to take nearly as many photos at my house as I would have liked.

2. My bustle took FOREVER and I missed the majority of my cocktail hour.

3. The last shuttle home was running late, so some of my guests (mostly just bridal party) were kind of just waiting around to go back to the hotel after the reception. Made us get to the after party much later than I had hoped for.

2. My MIL dress was the same color of the BM dresses. I was so mad because I told her NOT to wear blue. A lot of people thought that she was one of the BM.

3 The videographes never show up, He also had the CD that my Hubby and I did to play at the wedding. I the end I did not care because I never pay the guy..

After that everything when as plan Thank God

Just think POSITIVE and less things will go wrong.....
